A Mercedes-Benz SS 710 Rennsport from 1929!

From Germany we received this entry for the 31st Ennstal-Classic, which will take place from July 19 to 22.

It is a Mercedes-Benz SS 710 Rennsport from the year 1929.

The vehicle, of which only a few copies exist in the world, has an engine with 7065 cc displacement, which develops 140 hp (103 kW) without and 200 hp (147 kW) with compressor. The nominal speed is 3300 rpm, the compression ratio is 5.2 : 1. With this engine the car achieves a top speed of 185 km/h.
The first owner, Count Arco, won the Gaisberg and Semmering races, among others, with this SS in 1929. Afterwards the car ended up in the USA via detours.

After several years of restoration, we are looking forward to seeing this piece of motorsport history live at the Ennstal-Classic!
