Stars feel as snug as a bug in a rug in Gröbming

At 8:00 am this morning the participants of this year's Ennstal-Classic started for day 2 - the famous Marathon with 451 kilometers. In spite of - or due to the heat - the stars of this year's event are enthusiastic about the organisation, the route and the unique views of the Ennstal-Classic.

Porsche-ambassador Mark Webber enjoys the drive in a Porsche 356 Speedster 1600 S visibly. "If somebody told me ten years ago that I would some day have fun driving an old car at 80 km/h, I would not have believed it!" the 9-times GP winner and long-distance world-championf from Australia grins, "the 356 is an absolute artwork on wheels, I am honored to drive such a beutiful car through this beautiful landscape."

"This is an absolute highlight for all of us. This is the third time that Mark is with us at the Ennstal-Classic. He is very talented when it comes to enthusing people for the brand Porsche and his personality.
„Für uns alle ist es ein Highlight, dass Mark zum dritten Mal für uns bei der Ennstal startet. Er hat ein großes Talent dafür, die Menschen für sich und die Marke Porsche tu begeistern", Porsche brand manager Helmut Eggert, who drives a Porsche 356 Cabrio himself. "What pleases me at least as much is the fact that our chairman Dr. Wolfang Porsche finds the time to drive a 356 Carrera 2 Coupé himself, although he has such a full schedule!"
"Well, in such a car it is a pleasure to drive through the mountains", the addressee answers and is ipressed by the beautiful landscape and the thousands of fans along the route.

„The road handling, the sound, no servo steering and no automatic gearbox - that is pure pleasure!", Hans-Joachim "Strietzel" Stuck gushes about his car - the Porsche 356 B 2000 GS-GT, due to his unique design called "threesquare scraper".
"The wonderful thing about the Ennstal-Classic is that most of the regularity tests are driven on low-traffic, small roads!"

"It is hot", is the first impression of Dieter Quester ins his BMW 328 Cabrio. Th five-times Le Mans winner Derek Bell is happy with his performance so far: "We become better the older we are!" he jokes about himself and his Bentley Blower 4 1/2 litre.
