The team Mini with number 214 made it: the duo Friedrich Radinger/Thomas Wagner won the Ennstal-Classic 2019. It is the third overall victory for them after already winning in 2015 and 2016.
„We became better and better during the rally. The question was if the car would persevere. Today at the Stoderzinken we only had one and a half bar oil pressure, we were close to the exodus. Thank god it worked out with the last seven light barriers in Gröbming“, the jubilant three-time winner of the Ennstal-Classic tells us and handed the congratulations over to his co-driver: „ Thomas is not only my favourite son-in-law but also the perfect co-driver. He makes no mistakes. This gives the driver an incredible safety!”
The podium was completed by Erich and Roswitha Volk (Ford Mustang Fastback Coupé), who had less than 100 points backlog. The third place went to Peter Schöggl and Wolfgang Artacker on Alfa Romeo Spider.
The climax of this year’s Ennstal-Classic has been again the Porsche Design Grand-Prix where countless racing legends presented race- and sports cars in front of 20.000 enthusiastic visitors in Gröbming.
