Dirk U. Hindrichs and Stefan Hindrichs from Germany bring a Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing Coupé from 1956 to next year's Ennstal-Classic
They started already five times at the Ennstal-Classic. A well-known team that drives many classic-rallyes, e.g. the Mille Miglia. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL is THE sportscar of the century. It is a design icon of automobile history, with an absolute revolutionary technique.
On February 6th 1954 the 300 SL was launched at the New York Motor Show. Underneath the timeless chassis designed by the Austrian Karl Wilfert a tilted 3 ltr. 6-barrel in-line engine with direct injection was hidden. The car had a top-speed of incredible 245 km/h.
When the car became buyable for 29.000 Mark in 1954 the customers got 20% more performance than the factory drivers in their racing prototypes.
