After Ottokar Jacob's Porsche 917 a further true racing prototype was registered for the Speed-Show that takes place on the airfield in Niederöblarn in the course of the Ennstal-Classic.
It is a Ferrari Dino 206 SP driven by Egon Hofer. At first Ferrari wanted to built 50 pieces of the 220 HP strong, 580 kg heavy, V-6-barrel Dino in order to get the sportscar homologation. But only 20 pieces were achieved and Ferrari could only race against the much stronger sports-prototypes. Nevertheless the car achieved many awesome standings, e.g. on the Nürburgring, in Monza or at the Targa Florio.
Egon Hofer from Salzburg is a worshiped guest a classic car events because he always brings rare sportscars from his collection.
