Our government prohibited large events throughout the summer: The Ennstal-Classic has to be cancelled

Unfortunately the Corona crisis has now caught our event as well. The Austrian government has announced a prohibition for all events where fans cannot be barred until August 31st 2020. Therefore also the Ennstal-Classic (July 22nd – 25th) will disappear from this year’s event schedule.

Under the current circumstances a postponement to September is too risky as well. Our event hosts several evenings with almost 800 people and it lives from the diversity of participants from 15 nations who cannot take part due to the restrictions on the freedom of travel. It lives from the many partners we have and not to forget the enthusiastic fans along the routes and in the leg villages. We could not guarantee for the safety distance and the use of face-masks.

We really regret that we have to cancel the 28th Ennstal-Classic but that does not keep us from already planning for the 29th event:July 21st – 24th 2021

We will keep all the ideas and plans that we had for this year. The starting field – which has already been published a few weeks ago – will remain valid for 2021.

Please do not forget to contact your booked accommodation.

We are deeply sad that we were forced to make this decision but at the same time we are looking forward to seeing you all again at the 29th Ennstal-Classic 2021.

Until then: Stay healthy!
