Planai-Classic: One of the last, true winter adventures!
The snow gets deeper, the visibility worse, the Dachstein road becomes steeper and it gets more slippery with every turn. Overhanging snow makes the road extremely narrow, the stopwatch counts. Squalls from the Dachstein almost sweep the old cars off the road, the windows freeze over.
The Planai-Classic lives up to its reputation. Three days of winter adventure with cars built up to 1976. Winter at the Niederöblarn Alpine airfield, winter in the side valleys of the Ennstal, winter at the Gröbming harness racing track and – the highlight – winter on the well-prepared Planai road.
All of that without four-wheel drive or any other electronic aids. Here, driving becomes a return ticket to the youth. If you take part or come to watch the participants, you will experience one of the last adventures with the sheet from long-gone years.
