Racecar-Trophy with Lauda lifesaver Merzario and actor rudi roubinek

25 cars in the three categories of racing cars, Gran Turismo and Super Cars compete at the Racecar Trophy, which will take place as a parallel competition to this year’s Ennstal Classic.

The star of the Racecar Trophy is the Italian Arturo Merzario – the driver who rescued Niki Lauda from the flames in his fire accident in 1976 at the Nürburgring. Merzario will drive an Abarth 2000 Sport Spider.

Actor Tobias Moretti will start at the Racecar for the first time: “I don’t play “Jedermann” this year in Salzburg, so I’m happy to come to the Racecar Trophy in my private Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider».

The fastest car is brought by Rudi Raml, it is a 475 hp Wolf-Cosworth Formula 1 that Keke Rosberg drove in 1979. It will definitely be an eye-catcher Ferrari Dino from 1966 by Egon Hofer from Salzburg.
