ENNSTAL-CLASSIC 2024: Aksel Lund Svindal

He is one of the most successful ski racers of our time and a real petrolhead: Aksel Lund Svindal.

Aksel Lund Svindal has earned the title of exceptional athlete and model sportsman through his top sporting achievements and his down-to-earth manner. Aksel Lund Svindal has been successful in alpine ski racing in a total of 17 World Cup seasons.

In addition to his two Olympic victories in Vancouver (Canada) in 2010 and Pyeongchang (South Korea) in 2018, the likeable Norwegian has also won five world championship titles and the overall World Cup twice as a professional skier. With hard work, perseverance and discipline, Svindal has repeatedly fought his way back to the top of the world despite numerous injuries. Qualities that make the all-round skier a perfect fit for the Porsche brand and its values.

But there is much more to Aksel Lund Svindal: he invested early on in start-ups that are increasingly committed to sustainability and the environment. Since ending his career at the beginning of 2019, he has been pursuing another topic close to his heart: Porsche. His presentation in Oslo as a Porsche brand ambassador in connection with the first purely electrically powered sports car, the Taycan, makes this success story perfect.

We are delighted that Aksel, after a brief visit to the Porsche Design Grand Prix last year, will be present at the finish in Schladming from Thursday evening this year and will race the entire route of the Ennstal-Classic in a 356 Porsche on Friday. As brand ambassador of our Official Timing Partner Porsche Design, he will also wear the new and strictly limited Ennstal-Classic 2024 textile/leather strap with his Chronograph 1. The new strap is available exclusively for the participants of the Ennstal Classic – in the Juwelier Hübner shops in Wels and Vienna as well as via the Porsche Design Online Shop (see link below).

Of course, it will also be present at the Porsche Design Grand Prix of Gröbming on Saturday, 20 July.

On this day, there will also be an official autograph session in Gröbming with the stars from Porsche:

Aksel Lund Svindal
Thomas Preining (DTM Champion 2023)
Richard Lietz (current and overall 5-time LeMans winner)
Strietzel Stuck (2-time LeMans winner and DTM champion)

All information will be available in good time on our social media channels!
